Northern Virginia Health Foundation 2021 Community Report
As COVID-19 affected Northern Virginia, the Northern Virginia Health Foundation recognized that the communities it prioritizes were the same communities being hardest hit by the pandemic. Because of that, it was clear that in NVHF's 16th year, the Foundation's role in building the capacity of the Northern Virginia community to be and stay healthy was more important than ever.
The 2021 Community Report highlights the ways NVHF responded to the pandemic’s impact on Northern Virginia, including continuing to stabilize safety net providers as they responded to disruptions in their operations, commissioning key research on health needs and other inequities in the region, and unveiling a plan to help decision makers equitably respond to the public health emergency.
The report also includes:
A letter from NVHF President and CEO Patricia Mathews and Board Chair Judy Feder, PhD reflecting on the Foundation's 16 year anniversary, the pandemic and the future.
Profiles of NVHF grantees and the important work they are doing to help improve the health and health care of Northern Virginia residents
