NVHF Board Appoints New Director
By: Northern Virginia Health FoundationThe Northern Virginia Health Foundation (NVHF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of a new director: Guillermo Garcia, Vice President of The Han Group at UBS. At The Han Group, Garcia focuses on financial planning and international wealth management services.Garcia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Catholic University of America, where he serves on the Board of Governors as the Past President of the Alumni Association. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Washington and also chairs the board of GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington, D.C.“We are delighted that Guillermo is joining the Board and look forward to the insights and skills that he will bring,” said NVHF president and CEO Patricia Mathews.Mathews also expressed her sincere thanks to the distinguished service of Jeanne Franklin, Esq., who is leaving the Board after six years of service. “Jeanne’s commitment and insights were quite valuable and she will be missed,” Mathews said.The Board of Directors provides leadership and guidance for achieving the Foundation’s mission of improving the health of Northern Virginia residents, with an emphasis on low-income, uninsured, or underinsured persons.Read bios of each Board member.
