New Grant Opportunity: A Message From Courtney Rice

It is an exciting time for us at the Foundation. Just a few months ago, I was able to share thoughts on my first 100 days as president and CEO, and now we’re pleased to announce two new grant opportunities.

These two grant opportunities – investing in the capacity of the nonprofit sector, and supporting local initiatives led by community residents – enable us to learn more from our neighbors about how they envision a healthier Northern Virginia. Building on our values of stewardship, health equity and organizational effectiveness, we will support ideas and solutions that reflect inclusive decision-making and shared action.

Through investments that leverage local community assets, we intend to strengthen the social fabric of neighborhoods and the organizations committed to serving them. 

The Northern Virginia Health Foundation’s vision is to build the capacity of the Northern Virginia community to be and stay healthy. We hope to identify additional ways to be a resource to the region, engage more deeply and respond to sector-wide challenges through this new partnership.
