At Northern Virginia Health Foundation, we believe meaningful change happens when we listen, learn, and partner with the communities we serve. As part of our Strategic Framework, we are deepening our commitment to building relationships that reflect both lived experience and the broader ecosystem of stakeholders working to improve health and well-being across our region.

To support this commitment, we are excited to launch the Northern Virginia Health Foundation Community Advisory Council (CAC).

Over the next 12 to 18 months, CAC members will help inform our work by sharing perspectives, insights, and experiences that can strengthen our understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Northern Virginians. The Council will play an important role in helping us advance our strategic priorities across our four focus areas:

Access to Care
Knowledge for Impact
Systems-Level Change
Strengthening the Field

Council members will help us examine how our work aligns with our values and our commitment to addressing health disparities and systemic inequities across Northern Virginia.

We are seeking individuals who are helping to shape the future of health in Northern Virginia through their lived experiences, leadership, advocacy, community engagement, or professional expertise. We welcome perspectives from residents, community leaders, advocates, practitioners, and others who care deeply about creating healthier, stronger, and more equitable communities.

To support accessibility, applicants may submit either a written application or a short video response. Community Advisory Council members will receive a stipend in recognition of their time, expertise, and contributions.
