By: Northern Virginia Health FoundationHow do we make systems change a reality? And, how can organizations across sectors come together to make a real difference?

Alison Ansher, MD, MPH, of the Prince William Health District Director; Becky Sutter, DNP, Mason and Partners Clinic Co-Director; and Major Mandy Lambert, CJM, Director of Support Services, Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center and President, American Jail Association joined NVHF's Patricia Mathews to talk about their cross-sector partnership between the health and criminal justice systems.
Panelists shared lessons learned about communicating in each other’s "languages", dealing with skepticism and resistance in their own organizations (and in the community), changing policies and procedures, and tips for breaking down the silos between the health and justice systems in their community.
