Community-Based Partnerships

Across the region, the Northern Virginia Health Foundation participates in many community-based partnerships — coalitions of citizens working together on important health priorities in their communities, such as childhood obesity, improving access to healthy food options and safe places for children to play, and youth empowerment.

Partnerships include representatives from non-profits, schools, local businesses, and local government, as well as community leaders and concerned citizens. The Foundation serves as a participating member of each of the partnerships listed below and lends additional support on a range of activities, from sharing resources to serving as chair.
